Hours Worked: 4 Total Hours: 38

This week in the materials lab, I straightened up the shelves and noted some manufacturers and samples that need to be updated. I found a Bernhardt surface sample that was dated 1999. It is interesting to see how samples age over the years. Some, such as the Berhardt sample I mentioned, have minimal wear and tear, while others show their age. Having a sense of a material's longevity is a factor to consider when specifying materials for real-world applications. Being able to prove the difference in the quality of a material can be a powerful negotiation tactic when persuading future clients that a more expensive option is better suited and more cost-effective.

*Friendly reminder: please leave the lab how you found it.
